January 18 lack of updates due to problems with windows live i've been unable to update this blog. please visit http://www.alivenotdead.com/michelletam in the meantime.  michJanuary 12 celebrate good times... really love kool & the gang  but after teaching this song for a month i think i've had a lifetime supply of "celebration" November 20 blu-tack to the rescue! just got back from a gig at the venetian (again)...lots of geeks but made me feel like i was back in college where the mathies and comp eng students ruled. hahaha.  [hey i've done my fair share of proofs and stats and programming coursesso i'm not makin' fun of the nerds!] so during the first 5 min on stage i already managed to lose an earring. but fear not...blu-tack to the rescue! MUHAHAHA...sometimes you just gotta make do with whatchu got. November 03 october occurences 側田 concert @ HITEC 39 Steps Opening Night @ HKAPA Reebok Seasons Fitness Road Show Mongolia Fundraiser @ Helena May Sayonabe Howarween @ Four Seasons/REDplus many other events but no photos. September 23 one singular sensation danced the number from a chorus line all week... here i am at the costume fitting. so sexy....i luf gold! HAPPY 6-0 POPSICLES!sorry! need to backtrack cause i haven't been writing. been busy with shows but they're over for the moment... my dear dad turned 60 two weeks ago and we had week-long celebrations for him at da dominica, excelsior, FLM, aqua, t'ang court, yung kee, cova...etc etc etc it ended with a surprise visit to macau where my sis and i were stuck in the mgm, bored out of our minds, (see denise pretending to be rafiki, holding her simba) and tickets to zaia! NICE!  HAPPY BIRTHDAY POPSICLES! September 03 surf sea n sandlast saturday... my first and last boat trip this summer. went out to tai wan where the water is clear and the sand is nice and fine! we were at sai kung early in the morning for breakfast....so many CUTE dogs!  made our way out to the beach where a bunch of guys were practicing martial arts in the water...very cool. made me think....we should do some battement and ronde de jambe training there as well. HAHAHAHa... after a long day in the sun i am now SUPER tanned.  it's almost time to say goodbye to these gorgeous summer days. *SIGH* August 06 project dance hkok i've finally got time to update this blog cause we have a strong typhoon in hk today. typhoon signal 8 to be exact...which means there's no work! hahaha... so what have i been up to? well, other than the typical work week i spent time volunteering for project dance...a 3 day event that brings the message of hope and healing through the universal language of dance to major cities around the world, including nyc, sydney, hk & atlanta. one of my FAVOURITE performances was by glory dance, a group from orlando, fl.  LOVE the music. LOVE the choreography. LOVE the dancing.July 25 stereophonics rocks hkjust got back from the stereophonics concert at HITEC. didn't know any of their songs though except for dakota...their last one of the set. hahaha yeah i'm a typical hip hop head. akon live in hk this saturday...smack that. July 02 jin mv shoot @ rackson sunday we headed over to racks for jin's music video shoot. wai wai...  FOOD, GLORIOUS FOOD! last week i got the opportunity to host two cooking shows. i'm not a chef by any means but i do LOVE to eat hahahhaa so we had lots of fun, discussing food, easy & healthy home cooking, and the importance of going organic! carlos got the audience involved with his fabulous soba noodles, and thirst quenching shake while howard put together a delicious fried rice and an asian twist on the traditional tiramisu. June 22 and one day out of the blue....i came across this.... random photos in random places, even in the bathrooms. YIKES!  and YES i am wearing nike...*GASP!* BUT only cause it was a gift. otherwise my heart belongs to adidas! impossible is nothing....FOREVER! June 15 HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!celebrated with family and relatives. had lunch at the jumbo and dinner at kiku... been having lots of japanese food lately....mmmm. P.S. my doodling only makes sense if you're in my family  love you dad!June 14 Justin Davis Jewelry party at the kee club last night in celebration of the justin davis jewelry line. i'm so obsessed with skulls right now!!! check out the ed hardy rain boots below....it was pouring like MAD when i got out. red rain storm....too bad we didn't get two black saturdays in a row!  June 04 Sex and the City: The Moviejust got back from the screening....it was good! lots of label-licous eye candy...fabulous wardrobe...great feel good movie with some quirky cute moments. but more like a back to back marathon of the tv episodes. dunno if it really warrants a position on the big screen but nevertheless entertaining and remains true to the nature of the show. the movie opens tomorrow. |
